O'Reilly and the Religious Right's phantom "War on Christmas" becomes reality

People should be careful what they say because sometimes you can wish something into existence; a perceived enemy can materialize into a real live, breathing enemy. Yesterday, Beyond Belief Media officially and "formally declared war on Christmas, the December 25 holiday in which Christians celebrate the birth of the mythical figure Jesus Christ.
"Christian conservatives complain nonstop about the ‘War on Christmas,’ but there really isn’t any such war,” said Beyond Belief Media president Brian Flemming, a former fundamentalist Christian who is now an atheist activist. “So we have decided to wage one, to demonstrate what it would look like if Jesus’ birthday were truly attacked.”
While I profoundly disagree with Flemming and Beyond Belief Media's assertion that Jesus was a mythical figure and I do not support this official "War on Christmas," I find myself bemused at the concept of giving the likes of Bill O'Reilly, John Gibson and the truly unhinged Religious Right what they ask for.
