Winguts mounting Xmas card campaign

Malkinland is rallying the rightist troops for Christmas card campaign being organized by Kevin McCullough.
We are excited to be launching the opportunity today...between now and Christmas we are asking you to send the ACLU direct "MerryChristmas" cards. And we aren't talking about these generic "happy holiday" (meaning nothing) type of cards... Go get as "Christmas" a Christmas card as you can find... something that says.. "Joy To The World", "For Unto Us A Child Is Born", but at least "Merry Christmas", put some of your own thoughts into it, sign it respectfully and zip it off in the mail...
That'll show 'em. What's interesting is in their religious (and I emphasize "religious" as opposed to Christian) zeal to fight against phantom forces trying to take Christ out of the holidays, they seem to be missing the fundamental point of the ACLU and the fundamental point of Christ. The ACLU is trying to protect the religious freedom of non-Christians by fighting against the blurring of church and state. Their fight is not against Christ or Christians per se, despite what the Religious Right zealots are trying to scare churchgoers into believing. And the fundamental point of Christ is to share his message of love (true Christian love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8), grace, mercy, forgiveness and redemption; it's not to make sure Christ's name is publicly posted on government buildings or the establishment by man of a theocracy in this country. It may be important to religious people, but it's not one of the fundamental tenets of the Christian faith.
